Ambler, PA – September 15, 2016 – Moberg ICU Solutions, with the support of IBM, hosted the Second Meeting of the Working Group on Neurocritical Care Informatics. The meeting was held at the National Harbor, MD, prior to the 14th Annual Neurocritical Care Society (NCS) Meeting.
Capitalizing on the outcomes of the first meeting (held in 2015), this year the group focused on topics relevant to the creation of a “sustainable neuroinformatics ecosphere.” Among other prominent speakers, the event featured Linda Ricci from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, who presented the agency’s stand on digital health initiatives and cybersecurity. Furthermore, the group learned about the advancements and benefits of autonomous critical care systems in the military from Dr. Jose Salinas, of the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research.
The Recommendation on Medical Device Connectivity that was developed after last year’s meeting was also presented and is available on the Working Group’s website (www.SmartNeuroICU.org).
