The 2016 Neurointensive Care Symposium will be hosted by Notre-Dame Hospital in Montreal. Neurosurgeons, intensivists, neurologists, residents, fellows, and nurses in the field of neurointensive care are invited to attend. The symposium will address different approaches to cerebrovascular diseases in the ICU, monitoring for vasospasms following a subarachnoid hemorrhage, and monitoring and treatment during the acute phase of a head injury.
Lori Shutter, MD, FCCM, FNCS is the invited speaker for the event. Dr. Shutter is the Vice Chair of Education in the Critical Care Medicine Department, a Professor in the Departments of Critical Care Medicine, Neurology & Neurosurgery, and Director of the Neurocritical Care Fellowship Program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Shutter is also the Medical Director of UPMC Presbyterian Hospital’s Neurovascular ICU.
