Micromed Announces Full Integration of Moberg ICU Solutions

Micromed S.p.A. (Micromed), a neurophysiology company, acquired Moberg ICU Solutions (Moberg) in early 2017. The companies have operated independently until recently when Micromed announced a full integration of Moberg under its brand to strengthen its position as a global leader in neurophysiology.
Moberg ICU Solutions, founded by Dick Moberg, has pioneered the neuromonitoring space with its one of a kind Component Neuromonitoring System (CNS). “I am proud of our successes and accomplishments over the past 22 years, including being able to call 90% of the top-rated hospitals in neurology and neurosurgery our customers,” adds Moberg, “this is an exciting step forward for both companies.”
Micromed is a market leader in providing solutions for neurophysiology, with a global footprint of 78 markets and partnerships with the most reputed neurologists, epileptologists and neurosurgeons in the world. In addition to the Moberg CNS, the Micromed product portfolio includes the BRAIN QUICK® line of EEG systems, SleepRT™ PSG software, NEUROWERK® EEG and NEUROWERK EMG systems. On top of its organic growth, the Micromed customer base has recently expanded exponentially in the US as well as in BENELUX with the recent acquisition of OSG, a medical device company specializing in sleep diagnostic software.
“Over the next weeks and months, we will fully integrate the Moberg team into our global organization, ensuring we scale our operations efficiently while upholding customer satisfaction at all times,” says Rüdiger Hausherr, CEO of Micromed. The integration is anticipated to be complete by Q2 of 2020.
