This month on Brain Matters, Lawrence Chyall and Debra Hemmerle will discuss recent findings from the CAMPER study which demonstrate that maintaining spinal cord perfusion pressure (SCPP) >50mmHg is a strong predictor of recovery in spinal cord injury (SCI). They will present a new protocol that operationalizes these findings into the clinical practice of a Smart Neuro ICU, and will address the role of the critical care nurse and the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to caring for SCI patients.
