Brain Matters Webinar Series
Improving Outcomes in Neonatal Asphyxia: New Frontiers of Real Time Neuromonitoring Towards Precision Based Therapies
Friday, May 10, 2019
12:30 PM EDT (US)

Coming up on Brain Matters, Dr. Lina Chalak will be discussing the topic of neonatal asphyxia. The session will include challenges and updates for infants with so called “mild HIE”, new research involving physiological biomarkers to improve risk stratification of the disease severity within 6 hours, as well as new randomized trials of neuroprotection beyond hypothermia.

Dr. Lina F Chalak, MD, MSCS is an Associate Professor in Pediatrics and Neonatology at UT Southwestern and is also the Medical Director of the Parkland NeuroNICU program.
