UNM Presents Abstract Featuring CNS Data

At Neurotrauma 2013 (Aug. 4-7) , University of New Mexico staff presented an abstract titled “Role of Microvascular Shunting in CBF and ICP Dysautoregulation.”  One of the authors summarized the study as follows: “Based on data from multiparameter neuromonitoring and the Component Neuromonitoring System (CNS Monitor), this study shows that, following TBI and CVA, patients demonstrate changes in autoregulation that are fluid and possibly reversible, providing some opportunity to alter these changes with appropriate therapy.” Authors include E. Nemoto, D. Bragin, G. Statom, S. Pappu, B. Sena, T. Berlin, K. Olin, M. Krasberg, and H. Yonas.
